How I Cured My Angular Cheilitis

Posted by admin On September - 21 - 2008

It's me

If you are in need of a solution or cure for your angular cheilitis, I strongly recommend the Angular Cheilitis Foundation .

By my standards, I thought I had a severe case of angular cheilitis until I started moderating this blog, having discussions, and seeing pictures of people with really severe cases. So, I guess I can say I was unhappy with my affliction, but many people seem to have it a lot worse than me.  Anyway, as an outgoing person, there was such a contrast between what I felt like doing, and what I actually did. I always wanted to be in the middle of everything, but I was embarrassed by my mouth and lips. So much so, that in most pictures and in many social situations, you will see me slyly covering my mouth.  Imagine, a person that naturally wanted to be the center of attention, forced to stay in the background.

And then there was the pain.  I always got the crack in the corner of my mouth, and being a talkative person didn’t help. This went on for years.  It wasn’t continuous pain but it was fairly regular since I was a teenager. So, it you have angular cheilitis, I know exactly how you feel and you probably know how I feel.  I used all kinds of antibiotics and anti fungus, anti yeast creams and had spent thousands of dollars for temporary relief.  And then one day my doctor shocked me.

My doctor told me about the Angular Cheilitis Foundation. He had heard about it from another patient that was no longer having recurrences of angular cheilitis.  “Was it a cure?” I asked.  He said he did not know, but that the patient was doing significantly better and was thrilled with what they learned from the foundation.

I did not wait until I got home. I called my roomate and asked her to pull up the website. They are a research foundation and had information for sale. I asked her to download the material and as soon as I got home it was waiting for me.

To make a long story short, within days I was no longer covering my mouth and I was beginning to feel like myself again. I could again be the outgoing and talkative person that I am by nature. It’s been several months now and I can hardly remember a recurrence. I learned what to eat , what supplements to take and what natural remedies to use when I feels like my skin is getting a little dry. It is hard to tell you just how happy I am that there is an Angular Cheilitis Foundation.

If you are in need of a solution or cure for your angular cheilitis, I strongly recommend the Angular Cheilitis Foundation .

What causes Angular Cheilitis and how is it treated?

Posted by admin On September - 21 - 2008

Although the disease has an unknown etiology, the sores of angular cheilitis may become infected by the fungus Candida albicans (thrush), or other pathogens. Studies have linked the initial onset with nutritional deficiencies, namely vitamin B (Riboflavin B2[1] and Cyanocobalamin B12[2]) and iron deficiency anemia[2], which in turn may be evidence of poor diets or malnutrition (e.g. celiac disease).

In mild cases in teenagers and young children (only having chapped lips), encouraging them not to lick their lips and applying protective paraffin-based ointment (such as Vaseline) or lip balms to the lips is normally very effective.

For more severe angular cheilitis, depending on the cause, antifungal and antibiotic medication (e.g. topical miconazole oral gel that has dual activity), vitamins supplements, and dentures for a person without teeth can abate the symptoms.

Have any of you ever had Angular cheilitis?

Posted by admin On September - 21 - 2008

If so how did you get it to go away? I can not get it to heal and its been weeks. Thanks

In the winter months I get chapped lips and splitting in the corners of my mouth - I keep them as moist as possible to prevent further splitting.

I looked out on the web and they suggest:

Hope it heals up soon - is bothersome when you open your mouth and they split more and bleed. Come on summer.

Angular Cheilitis Solution?

Posted by admin On September - 21 - 2008

ANYONE know what the HOME remadies are?!?!?!? XD I’m tired of having the corners of my mouth a bit cracked and a lil red…it’s not too bad…but it is noticible…. a friend asked what happend…
i said it was chapped..and he said it looks like someone punched you…

>.< i keep going back to the same page that says Angular Cheilitis Solution..it can be cured over night or in 3 hours…..and to get what one need to know you have to pay 70$!!!! XD

CAN i buy a cream at a store like Rite Aid, Walmart, ect.?

yes i eat creal, milk, cheese, eggs, beans, and vegies here and there…i DON’T eat many fruits though..lol…….PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CURES Angular Cheilitis!! AND WHERE i CAN FIND a CURE!!! :(

i Live in South California like an Hour From L.A. in the 818 area..Granada Hills…lol….just felt like putting that in…=3
i mostly use CHAPSTICK…cuz i don’t have anything else…..T_T..just so u know

Okay….well one thing I know which works is E45 Cream. This will keep your mouth and lips smooth and moist without the feeling you have to keep licking them. It will also help to decrease the Angular Cheilitis.

It is also very safe to add pure essential oils to a base cream (as in E45).
The best oils for this type of condition is tea tree and lavender. But you need to make sure they are PURE ESSENTIAL OILS.

If you put about 8 table spoons of the base cream into a different container, then add 6 drops of tea tree oil and 4 drops of lavender oil. Mix the oils into the cream. After washing and drying the affected areas apply a small amount of the cream with a clean finger. Atleast twice a day (in the morning and before bed) no more than three times a day. I give you my word you will notice a difference within 5 days or soone

its smooth skin with tiny bumps and its darker and gets inflamed when bothered with.

It may just be the start of angular chelitis. Perhaps your vitamin deficiency isn't bad enought o cause a break in the skin yet. Then again, it could be something else all together. Best to have your doc have a look at it.

what is the natural cure for angular cheilitis?

Posted by admin On September - 21 - 2008

what is the natural cure for angular cheilitis?

Sometimes angular cheilitis is caused by deficiency of vitamin B and iron, and can be stopped by adding vitamin B12 rich food in to the day to day diet of the sufferer.
Another cause of angular cheilitis is drooling. Ginger is the best natural ingredient to control drooling. A one inch ginger stick should be boiled in one cup of water for 3-4 minutes and be consumed after adding salt or sugar according to one’s own taste. It should be taken twice a day at least for one month.
